Roderick G. Peters, R.Ph., P.D

Roderick is the Vice President/CFO/Pharmacist of Quality of Life Pharmacy & Health, Inc

Roderick was born, raised, and educated in Washington, DC. He graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School in 1979 and graduated from Howard University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology.

In 1990 Roderick decided to move to New York City to pursue a degree in Pharmacy and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Pharmacy from Long Island University College of Pharmacy & Science.

During his career Roderick has worked as a Pharmacist in Community Pharmacies, Long Term Care Facilities, Hospital Pharmacy, Telepharmacy, Ambulatory Care and Executive Pharmacy Management. In 2001 Roderick survived the terrorist attack on the Pentagon in Washington, DC and participated in the search and rescue efforts until the end of that horrible day. The Department of the Army honored and awarded Roderick a Certificate of Service and a Commander’s coin for his clinical support during the 9/11 aftermath medical mission.

Currently, Roderick is a Clinical Hospital Pharmacist, Compound Pharmacist and Pharmacy Owner. He is a Health coach for weight loss, Diabetes, Hypertension, and other Medical health related issues. He Also participates in pharmacy education as an Associate Professor for Experiential Education for Howard University Doctor of Pharmacy Candidates.  In 2014, Roderick was appointed as a Commissioner to the Maryland Board of Pharmacy (Maryland Department of Health) and is also an associate life member of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. During his 5 years as a Maryland board Commissioner, he served as chair of the Practice Committee, served as a National Delegate, Served as NABP Item writer for the MPJE pharmacy law question pool and represented the Maryland board nationally as the Vice Chair of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy Mid-Atlantic region. In 2019, Roderick was elected to the Board of Directors as treasurer of the National Pharmaceutical Association.

In 2008, Roderick opened Quality of Life Pharmacy & Health Inc. with his wife, Pharmacist Terri L. Peters to be on the forefront of improving patient outcomes through Specialty Compounding and Disease management. His specialty is Custom Medication compounding, Diabetes Management, Health Nutrition, Men’s health, Weight Loss Management, Medication Therapy Management, and public speaking in our community.
